About the role
- The Batch Making Operator is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, blend solid and liquid raw materials, to produce a wide range of high-performance paints & coatings
- Operate designated equipment in an efficient, clean and safe manner
- Follow all quality and work practices, all relevant procedures and SOP's, and all instructions listed on batch tickets
Responsibilities
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned work areas
- Other duties as assigned by Production Leads and Supervisors
Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma minimum, or equivalent
- Must be able to manufacture any products listed on the Hempel assortment with no or minimum supervision
- Must be able to provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions with or without a calculator
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to safely operate all gas and electric forklifts
- Flexibility required to work extended hours.
- Must be willing to work different shifts as well as occasional weekends to meet customer requirements
- Good communication skills required to read and write in English
- Must have a positive and cooperative attitude
