About the role
- You'll define what gets built, why it matters, and how we know it's working.
- Running a working session with a customer to redesign a process around an agentic workflow
- Writing and testing prompt logic for a specific customer use case
Responsibilities
- Define and measure success: Set requirements, test outputs, and validate success criteria for new agent builds. Establish the metrics that tell us an agent is genuinely delivering value-and use them to drive the roadmap.
- Builders who own outcomes: You take pride in what you ship and hold yourself accountable for the value it creates-adoption, time saved, ROI-not just the feature shipping.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You turn loose goals into concrete roadmaps and execution plans, and you create measurable impact without waiting to be told how.
- 2-5+ years of product management experience building highly technical products.
- Hands-on fluency with how AI agents behave-prompting, evaluation, and guardrails-with the judgment to shape agent design, not just write specs for it.
Nice to have
- A track record of owning a product roadmap and shipping technical products end-to-end with engineering teams.
- Degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM capabilities and deployment patterns, and an understanding of governance and compliance in regulated environments.

- Build enterprise-grade AI agents for life sciences: Partner directly with engineers, AI strategists, and customers to build and ship AI agents that handle the most complex, high-stakes workflows in drug development, all while meeting the trust, governance, and compliance bar that regulated industries demand.
- Shape the product roadmap: Work with Engineering to scope, prioritize, and implement the new agent capabilities and platform features essential to your customers' success, balancing customer impact against technical feasibility and driving them from concept to launch.
- Discover where agents will make an impact: Ground-up discovery is a critical part of the role.
- Work closely with customers to identify new use cases and opportunities where AI agents can deliver real value-then decide which are worth building and turn recurring, account-specific solutions into reusable, productized capabilities that scale across the customer base.
- Engage with customers: Run discovery with scientific, technical, and executive stakeholders to assess and pressure-test their requirements; build and demonstrate prototypes of Valkai's agents; work through technical and process challenges alongside your engineering counterparts; and translate operational drug-development challenges into clear product requirements.
- Experience crafting and tailoring a message for customers, including executives.
