About the role

  • The General Foreman is responsible for safety, scheduling, assignment and supervision of manpower, work performance, material procurement and planning, quality control, communication with the project team, and onsite customer relations.
  • Eligibility begins 90 days after employment.

Responsibilities

  • Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnoses, and steps taken to resolve issues for each project or situation.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition and safe for use.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the work area.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements; report any violations of policies, procedures, or guidelines to a supervisor.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade
  • Ability to contribute to installations or direct others through the installation and troubleshooting process
  • Ability to coordinate manpower and resource needs effectively
  • Ability to coordinate or place material orders following price comparisons
  • Must have experience running electrical projects valued up to $10 million.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, submittals, specifications, and BIM detailing.
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Utilize required tools and equipment for each specific task as needed.
  • Ability to develop and manage construction schedules for large-scale projects and adjust as needed
  • Maintain compliance with company, state, and OSHA safety standards
