About the role

NWACC offers a full range of associate degrees, certificates and workforce training programs that prepare students for rewarding futures and careers.
Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available.
Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.

Postings close yearly and to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.
Subject matter includes a brief introduction to the nature and function of the visual arts, the visual elements and principles of design, an introduction to various art media, and a brief exploration of art history.
The Art Department offers courses in Art Appreciation, Art History, History of Photography, Graphic Design, drawing, oil painting, water media, sculpture, ceramics, figure drawing, photography, and introduction to studio art.

Teaching experience at the college/post-secondary level is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience teaching at a community college and understanding the community college mission is a plus.
Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority.
