- PayPal, Inc. seeks Staff Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
- Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure transparent communication and alignment on goals and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Job Duties: Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Product, Architecture, Design, and Engineering-to design, evaluate, and refine technical solutions and new product features.
- Lead design discussions, proposing technical standards, and contributing to architectural decisions that align with organizational strategy.
- Establish best practices in code quality, system design, and engineering efficiency to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements
- Experience designing and executing unit, integration, and performance tests using JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, and JaCoCo to ensure scalability and system reliability under production-like conditions (6 years).
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs for cross-system and cross-domain communication using Spring REST, JAX-RS, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman (5 years).
- Experience implementing and tuning computational algorithms and data structures to improve performance efficiency and scalability using the Java Collections Framework and Streams API (5 years).
- Experience implementing event-driven architectures and decoupled services for reliable message delivery across distributed systems (5 years).
- Experience designing multi-threaded, asynchronous systems ensuring high throughput and scalability using Java Concurrency utilities, ExecutorService, and ThreadPool frameworks (4 years).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
- Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Compensation
- $227,639.00-300,500.00 per annum.
- Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
