About the role

  • The Senior Network Architect is a strategic technical leader responsible for designing, engineering, and governing Voya's enterprise network and datacenter architecture.
  • This role blends deep hands ‑ on expertise with high ‑ level architectural vision across Azure cloud networking, Oracle OCI cloud networking, on ‑ prem datacenter infrastructure, routing and switching, SD ‑ WAN, security, and global connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design
  • Design scalable routing and switching architectures using BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, and advanced datacenter fabric technologies.
  • Lead SD ‑ WAN architecture and policy design across global sites.
  • VPC peering, design and segmentation
  • VNet design and segmentation

Requirements

  • 1 5 + years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering and architecture.
  • Expert ‑ level knowledge of routing, switching, and datacenter networking (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, QoS, multicast).
  • Strong experience with datacenter infrastructure, including:
  • Hands ‑ on experience with SD ‑ WAN (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Versa, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies (NGFW, segmentation, Zero Trust).
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automation and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Python) preferred.
  • Certifications (Highly Preferred)
  • Additional vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet) are a plus.
