About the role
- The Assistant General Counsel - Specialty Alliance will provide legal support to the Deputy General Counsel - Specialty Alliance, by managing a wide variety of complex legal matters on behalf of the Specialty Alliance business segment, partnering with the business teams on strategic objectives, and providing legal advice on a wide range of legal issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct legal training for business clients
- Collaborate with others and build knowledge of business and key stakeholders
- Ability to develop and implement policies, projects, processes, systems and controls across a complex company
Requirements
- License to practice law in Ohio or active bar license in another state required
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively and engender trust and confidence with personnel at many different levels throughout the company
- the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Business acumen, including a well-developed understanding of business and commerce and the ability to diagnose corporate legal problems and present positive, creative solutions and alternatives
- Ability to work independently, cross-functionally and collaboratively
- Ability to travel 20%
Nice to have
- record of high academic achievement in the undergraduate level and in law school preferred
- 8+ years of experience preferred in a large complex, in-house setting or AM LAW 100 law firm
- physician office or prior experience supporting a Management Services Organization

- $135,400-$208,100
