  • This position is located in the Midland-Odessa area.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and related soil, vapor and groundwater contaminant investigations
  • Manage active remediation sites and related services
  • Coordinate, perform, and direct staff and subcontractors for field tasks
  • Produce and review applicable reports and regulatory documents
  • Manage projects for the entire life cycle, including direct communications clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to independently analyze and interpret technical reports, technical guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental projects
  • Ability to independently solve practical problems and manage daily project variables
  • Braun Intertec is looking for a Project Scientist to lead and manage environmental projects, including due diligence; spill response, assessment, and cleanup; soil & groundwater investigations, and remediation implementation and oversight.

Skills

  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Effective communication for clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and great organizational skills to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Required Experience:
  • B.S. degree or higher in Geology, Earth or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 3-5 years related experience in environmental assessment and remediation through Texas-based regulatory programs (see below)
  • Experience with regulatory programs & regulations:
  • § Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
  • § Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC)
  • § Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP)
  • § Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP)
  • § Industrial and Hazardous Waste (IHW) Corrective Action Program

Compensation

  • $66,000.00 - $99,000.00
