About the role
- This position performs complex analysis work, identifies design problems, and resolves problems.
- As the Electrification Controls System Senior Engineer, you will be accountable for contributing to the concept, development, and design of complex components, systems, subsystems, or processes for the electronics system that supports Caterpillar's electrification product line.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements analysis and decomposition
- Create boundary diagrams and interface specifications
- Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
- Design and promote new control systems and sub processes
- Perform network analysis
- Perform integration lab testing
- Perform product maintenance
Requirements
- Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis
- ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
- Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
- ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
- ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
Compensation
- $112,710.00 - $169,060.00
- Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
