Responsibilities

  • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Uses Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all work performed throughout the building
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Acts as a member of the Facility Engineering On-call service team responsible for responding to all after-hours building emergency's during the assigned week.
  • Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
  • Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper/soap dispenser units, changing filters, changing hardware on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman.
  • Inspect, repair and install, service and maintain electrical systems including conduit systems, lighting and power circuits, control equipment, switched fans, fixtures, and clocks. Cleans and lubricates parts.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • May perform grounds keeping activities.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve problems quickly and reliably.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to real time problems.
  • Works with and monitors outside contractors while they are doing work in the hospital to insure the work is done in accordance with required standards.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, facility manager, compliance manager, director of engineering, and/or hospital administration as required.
  • May be required to assist with special events.
  • Assists skilled trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standard duties to learn new skills as required for advancement and certification.
  • May be required to utilize basic cleaning and other chemicals.

  • Using Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to comply with PM's: weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
