About the role

- The AT Specialist plays a critical role in increasing access, independence, and academic engagement for students with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and communication needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities in a school or clinical setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of assistive technology tools and their application for students with diverse disabilities.
- Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems.
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Educational Technology, or a closely related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for multi-campus travel.
- Preferred
- Master's degree in Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Assistive Technology, or a related field.
- Assistive Technology Graduate Certificate, or active pursuit of certification.
- Familiarity with Connecticut state special education regulations and IEP processes.
- Experience in a private special education or therapeutic day school setting.

Compensation
- $75,000-$95,000, based on education and experience
