Responsibilities
- Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM) procedures under supervision
- Apply and maintain electrodes while ensuring patient safety and skin integrity
- Maintain compliance with electrical safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Provide clear explanations and compassionate support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals
- The Neurophysiology Associate supports intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM) services across both the Operating Room and outpatient settings.
- This role performs standard neurodiagnostic procedures-including nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials-while working under the direct supervision of experienced neurophysiology staff and attending neurologists.
- As an integral member of the surgical team, the Neurophysiology Associate collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher
- Required: Associate's degree or higher
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, or related field
- Graduate of an ABRET-recognized NIOM program
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, or related field
- Preferred: Graduate of an ABRET-recognized NIOM program
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Combination of standing and sitting for extended periods

- Exposure to clinical environments, including operating rooms
Compensation
- The base pay scale for this position is $44.77 - $49.37.
- The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
