About the role
- The Baldwin Group (NASDAQ: BWIN), takes a holistic and tailored approach to insurance and risk management.
- The Claims Consultant is considered an expert in managing insurance claims on an individual and portfolio level for our clients.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Process submissions within the claims process lifecycle for agencies and insureds assigning to the appropriate claim's firm.
Responsibilities
- Supports advisors in securing new business, by performing a baseline risk assessment that will identify opportunities in a prospect's claims management program
- Ability to drive a claim from first intake through the process to satisfactory submission of the first notice of loss.
- The ability to develop relationships and effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, carriers and colleagues is a key success factor in this role.
Requirements
- The Claims Consultant must have technical knowledge and experience in insurance claims handling and risk mitigation techniques.
Nice to have
- 5+ years' experience in claims
- Be willing to obtain any state required License within a specified time frame from starting employment with the firm.

Skills
- Possess strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance contracts to include HO3, HO4, HO5 HO6 and master policy programs.
- Outstanding knowledge and ability to use MS Office Word and Excel in the execution of their daily duties.
- Possess the aptitude to learn new systems, programs, and technology driven business tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
- Strong communication skill with unflappable professional demeanor under pressure.
