About the role
- This program immerses apprentices in the three primary domains of
- Batch Room Quality Functions, Laboratory Analysis, and Packaged Quality.
- Apprentices learn more than how to execute tests and verifications, but also how to interpret data, recognize risk, and make decisions that protect product integrity and consumer safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control tasks in batching, lab and packaged quality
- Perform sampling and testing of bulk ingredients
- Accurately document quality data in a timely manner
- Perform packaging quality checks.
- Collaborate cross- functionally with Production, Batching, and other departments to ensure seamless quality operations.
- Adhere to escalation procedures and implement reaction plans as necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement of quality standards and contribute to a strong Quality Culture.
- Support the implementation of quality and food safety procedures under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor.

Requirements
- Prior experience in beverage manufacturing or quality control
- Ability to work under pressure (in an extremely fast paced environment)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 10-12 hours.

- Completed coursework in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related scientific field
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- Strong personal computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WHS systems
