About the role
- Job Overview OmniOn Power is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on monitoring and control solutions for DC power systems in Open Compute Data Center Systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications that support OCP compliant DC power systems ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and system designers, to gather requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for effective communication between system components.
- Implement CI/CD practices and manage deployment automation using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications to maintain high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with Python for building tools to assist in development and test.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in DC power systems in Open Compute Data Center Systems
- Experience with Linux.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in the context of DC power systems or data centers.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT).
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for effective data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Go and C/C++.
- Strong understanding of DC power systems and experience with Open Compute Project standards.
- Familiarity with control algorithms and energy monitoring solutions.
- Passion for innovation in power management and sustainability.
