About the role
- The Senior Accountant III - Wholesale Accounting, executes accurate and timely transaction processing and executes settlement, reconciliation, and reporting activities across Vistra's diverse energy portfolio.
- Reviews and reconciles information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards
- Assists in preparing and reviewing reports, ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to guidelines
Responsibilities
- Lead wholesale activities such as the end-to-end settlement lifecycle, including data validation, dispute resolution, invoice generation, and revenue/cost recognition across various transaction types.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing settlement insights to support business strategies and regulatory compliance.
- support organizational transformation and foster a collaborative, transparent environment.
- Analyzes data, identifies trends, and provides insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting or related field
- Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required
Skills
- Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
- Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
- Process improvement oriented
- Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process

Compensation
