  • The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working independently in outdoor industrial environments.
  • Previous heavy mechanical experience is strongly preferred, and Railserve is willing to train individuals with strong mechanical backgrounds.

Compensation

  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on company locomotives
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical locomotive issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, invoices, shipping documents, and expense reports
  • Communicate maintenance updates and repair statuses with customers and operations teams
  • Safely operate cutting torches and welding equipment

  • $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on company locomotives
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical locomotive issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, invoices, shipping documents, and expense reports
  • Communicate maintenance updates and repair statuses with customers and operations teams
  • Safely operate cutting torches and welding equipment
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections on equipment
  • Handle environmental materials and waste disposal according to company procedures
  • Comply with company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Assist in identifying and correcting safety hazards
