About the role

  • Position: Director of Programs - East Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for successful delivery of one or more interrelated projects within a federal or defense contract.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Oversight: Lead full lifecycle execution of government programs-from kickoff through delivery and closeout; and define program objectives in alignment with contract scope and mission outcomes.
  • Contract Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations and task order terms (e.g., Seaport-NxG); maintain key deliverables: Project Management Plan (PMP), risk register, quality control plan; and oversee CPAR preparation inputs; support contract modifications when necessary.
  • Schedule & Financial Control: Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using MS Project or equivalent tools and track burn rates; monitor CLIN funding levels via Unanet or financial systems.
  • Risk Management: Identify technical/operational risks early; maintain mitigation plans throughout project lifecycle and escalate critical blockers promptly while proposing resolution paths.

  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and program lifecycle management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.

  • Reporting to the VP of Client Delivery, the role is a strategic leader responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex government programs, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and delivery of high-quality compliant performance-ensuring alignment with federal mission goals, technical delivery, and contractual performance.
  • The Director ensures integration across functional domains-technical execution, stakeholder engagement, compliance, budget control-and acts as the primary liaison between Navaide and government contracting officers (KOs), CORs, and program sponsors.
