About the role

  • Machinists load materials into CNC machines to be shaped.
  • Once the cutting operation is performed the machinist inspects the fabricated part to ensure it matches specifications.
  • Machinists are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment and may operate multiple machines at any given time.

Requirements

  • 2+ years prior experience operating CNC machines
  • 1+ year programming experience
  • Knowledge of gauging equipment, including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to communicate issues and problems to others
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds (cranes are available)
  • Gauge parts to verify that they meet specification using calipers, micrometers, other quality approved gauging devises as required
