About the role
- Schedule: Monday - Friday; Approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week
- As a Maintenance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Participate in equipment inspections and assist with troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve mechanical or operational issues.
Responsibilities
- MSI Express is a leading manufacturing and contract packaging partner trusted by top CPG brands, as well as emerging and private label brands.
- Preventive Maintenance Support: Assist in planning, scheduling, and documenting preventive maintenance activities.
- Equipment Reliability Projects: Support initiatives focused on improving equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
- Maintenance Systems & Documentation: Support work order management, parts inventory tracking, and maintenance records within company systems.
- You will work on real business challenges, partner with leaders across the company, and turn ideas into action by developing and implementing solutions.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical information and documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.
- Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
