About the role
- The incumbent in this position is responsible for collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Accurately obtains blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures with minimum patient discomfort.
- Ensures age-appropriate care is provided to patients from infant to geriatric.

- Promotes quality patient/client relations and creates supportive climate.
- Respects and maintains the confidentiality of information relative to the laboratory.
- Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
