About the role
- Technicians work on new and existing construction across the full range of Hydro Ottawa's service offerings and voltages.
- Technicians have the capacity to calibrate all types of meters used by Hydro Ottawa and those of our utility customers according to Measurement Canada standards.
- This position is responsible to provide excellent customer service and be a field ambassador for Hydro Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain domestic and commercial meters on all services supplied by Hydro Ottawa
- Install and maintain instrument transformers on secondary and primary metered services
- Install and maintain meters and metering equipment on IESO registered wholesale metering points
Requirements
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance Principles including ISO 9001-2015, an asset
- Create and update metering related work practices or procedures as required
- Provide training, as required, to other Meter Technicians, Meter Apprentices, Students and other Metering staff
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
