About the role
- The Finance/Budget Manager position serves the Edward R.
- Murrow College of Communication as the primary operator for all the financial functions of the College.
Responsibilities
- This position manages the support functions for the college including grants, payroll, major purchases, travel, service operations, and course fee oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex budget/accounting processes.
- Experience with various financial activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, travel, personnel, cost analysis and budget planning.
- Experience supervising and leading staff.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and financial databases.
- Experience working with federal and state regulations pertaining to fiscal and administrative management.

- Familiarity with public broadcasting accounting methods.
- Experience with an online enterprise accounting system.
- Workday preferred.
- Experience working with service centers, establishing course fees, and working with contracts.
- Experience creating financial reports for an external audit.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, financial planning, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
