Responsibilities

  • The Furnace Operator is responsible for operating the production equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner according to company standards, in order to support the production of quality mineral fiber insulation products within the Company's parameters of Material Efficiency, Time Efficiency and Linewool II.
  • Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?
  • Maintain clean and tidy work areas around the factory, including but are not limited to, K1 Control Room, Spinner Deck, Burner, and gutter deck, WOMA room and upstairs binder room.

Requirements

  • Experience in trouble shooting equipment.
  • Experience in CNC Machine or mechanical background
  • Must be a team player.
  • Run and monitor all process equipment required in the Industrial Melting Furnace (IMF) area.
  • Siphon poking or lancing when required, Jack out IMF siphon, man door.
  • Understanding of key figures and how to maximize production output.
  • Forklift Experience/ Certification
  • Able to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes, etc.
  • High mechanical aptitude with experience trouble shooting equipment.
  • Drive, commitment, positive attitude, and high energy
  • What you will be doing:
  • Maintain steady uninterrupted flow of melt and binder to the spinners.
  • Maintain a clean safe work area, reporting any problems to management.

Nice to have

  • 3 years machine operation/ troubleshooting experience (manufacturing preferred)
