About the role

The position will require a flexible schedule focusing on preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

The primary role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide competent & effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to the Plant and Facility operations in a safe manner.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic.
Ability to follow manufacturing specifications and schematics.
Knowledge of food grade aluminum and stainless-steel welding techniques.
Complete knowledge of fabrication techniques.
Ability to multitask, prioritize items and be self-motivated.
Complete knowledge of all tools required for industrial maintenance, including those used to broach, mill, and lathe.
Must be able to communicate and understand safety issues, including reading the information on safety equipment and relaying relevant information to coworkers.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
Able to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally.
Possess a full complement of the necessary hand and power tools to support an industrial manufacturing plant.
Have a basic knowledge of control power and main power.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and energized equipment.
The noise level in the work environment varies depending on tasks.
