About the role

  • The position will require a flexible schedule focusing on preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

Responsibilities

  • The primary role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide competent & effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to the Plant and Facility operations in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
  • 2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
  • 4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing specifications and schematics.
  • Knowledge of food grade aluminum and stainless-steel welding techniques.
  • Complete knowledge of fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize items and be self-motivated.
  • Complete knowledge of all tools required for industrial maintenance, including those used to broach, mill, and lathe.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand safety issues, including reading the information on safety equipment and relaying relevant information to coworkers.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following list that follows is representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
  • Able to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally.
  • Possess a full complement of the necessary hand and power tools to support an industrial manufacturing plant.
  • Have a basic knowledge of control power and main power.

Nice to have

  • PLC experience is a plus
  • Electrical knowledge and packing machinery experience a plus.

Skills

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and energized equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment varies depending on tasks.

Compensation

  • $50k-$75k
