About the role

Blitzy is seeking a highly experienced Head of Security to unify our security strategy as we scale our agentic software development platform.
Given the nature of our platform, this role carries a heavy emphasis on product security and the security of machine learning ecosystems, spanning both stochastic and non-stochastic software.

We move quickly and decisively to innovate internally and deliver exceptional software externally.
This is a visionary technical leadership role: you will provide clear visibility into emerging risks, drive large-scale mitigations, and strengthen our future security posture through applied security R&D.
Design and architect robust digital security devices and platforms for high-stakes environments.
Executive leadership has consistent, prioritized guidance for mitigating security risks across partner organizations, informed by your technical advisory.
Act as a key technical advisor to executive leadership, establishing consistent, prioritized guidance for mitigating security risks across partner organizations.
Foster industry-wide improvements by conducting novel vulnerability research and developing advanced security controls and features.

A track record of translating deep technical research into practical, enterprise-ready security controls.
Required Experience

Blitzy's security strategy is unified across the organization, with current and emerging threats across stochastic and non-stochastic software clearly identified and prioritized.
Blitzy is recognized for industry-wide security improvements, driven by novel vulnerability research and advanced security controls.
Unify organizational security strategy by identifying current and emerging threats across both stochastic and non-stochastic software.
Oversee production security engineering, with a specific focus on anomaly detection, prevention, and autonomous fault detection.
Advanced degree preferred (MSc in Security Informatics, PhD in Computer Science, or closely related field) or equivalent depth of hands-on experience
Extensive proven experience operating as a Security Architect, Senior Security Engineering Manager, or Technical Security Advisor at scale.
Exceptional skills in executive leadership, security strategy, and product security.
CISSP or equivalent certification/experience strongly preferred

Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to address long-term risks in machine learning and AI ecosystems.
Production systems benefit from mature anomaly detection, prevention, and autonomous fault detection capabilities.
Long-term risks in machine learning and AI ecosystems are addressed through comprehensive, forward-looking security strategies.
Lead offensive and defensive security initiatives spanning cryptographic, cloud, and machine learning platforms.
Deep expertise in machine learning security, vulnerability research, self-healing systems, and cryptography.
