About the role
- You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC) in the FIRE PROTECTION BRANCH, OPERATIONS SECTION of MCLB ALBANY GA.
- GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- You may be subject to mandatory recall during destructive weather, major incidents, or any other time determined by the command.
Requirements
- You will be required to obtain and maintain current FIREFIGHTER certifications: Hazardous Material Awareness, Hazardous Material Operations, and Hazardous Materials Technician.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You are required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Marine Corps Orders/Policies This position requires rotating shift work.
- You will be required to participate in the Department of Defense Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program.
- You will be required to possess and maintain certification a FIREFIGHTER I by the Department of Defense (DoD), International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or ProBoard.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardio Pulmonary Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- You may be required to work in high elevations and/or below ground in confined workspaces.
