About the role

  • This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role that blends strategic thinking with operational ownership.
  • The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in shaping how we plan, measure, and operate the business, with meaningful influence across teams and initiatives as the company evolves.
  • This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder and is based in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic finance partner to the CEO, COO, and Board, providing insight into business performance, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning.
  • Own and evolve FP&A, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial planning to support growth and decision-making.
  • Lead and oversee accounting operations, working closely with an outsourced accounting firm to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with GAAP.
  • Build scalable financial processes, controls, and systems to support a growing B2B2C fintech business.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, actionable financial reporting for executive leadership and the Board, with a focus on transparency and predictability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, Client Success, People, and Legal teams to align financial planning with company priorities.
  • Support go-to-market efforts through pricing analysis, renewals, revenue forecasting, and unit economics.
  • Manage tax, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with external partners.
  • Help define the roadmap for building an internal finance team over time, while remaining deeply involved in execution.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot (or similar).

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required
  • MBA, CPA, or equivalent credentials are a plus.

Compensation

  • $200,000 - $275,000 USD
