Responsibilities

  • Design and develop flight software in embedded C in accordance with DO-178C DAL A.
  • Develop low-level drivers and safety-critical monitoring systems for flight-critical applications.
  • Develop and test embedded software components to interface with and control peripherals such as motors, encoders, heaters, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on hardware/software integration, including bring-up of new hardware and resolution of interface issues.
  • Write, review, and approve software requirements, architecture, and design documents

  • In this role, you are responsible for the development of the Fly-By-Wire software starting with requirements specification, software design, verification and validation of the software per ARP 4754A, DO-178C, DO-330, and DO-331 requirements and support all FAA/DER reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional working experience.
  • Experience with RTOS.
  • Experience in working with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and understanding schematics.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Proficiency with some of the following tools: C/C++, Python.

  • Experience with bootloader, multi-target, and bare metal programming.

Compensation

  • Salary: $120,000 - $175,000
