About the role

Requirements

  • Active, valid California Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with a Passenger (P) endorsemen t (Required).

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) PLUS one (1) year of direct service experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) PLUS two (2) years of direct service experience working with emotionally disturbed adults.

Skills

  • Willingness to work as direct care staff in the milieu when not actively transporting clients.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, staff, and the public.
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • How you will make a differen ce (job overview):
  • When no transporting assignments are provided, acts as Mental Health Worker.
  • Coordinates and schedules client transportation, as directed.
  • Monitors clients during transportation.
  • Conducts vehicle safety check before each use.
  • Protects clients from behavior which could damage their self esteem and/or the facilities relationship with other agencies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies.

  • A comprehensive mental health in patient residential facility for adolescents

Compensation
