About the role
- The Transportation Clerk is responsible for transporting clients to off-site appointments and outings, as well as other transportation assignments.

Requirements
- Active, valid California Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with a Passenger (P) endorsemen t (Required).
Nice to have
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) PLUS one (1) year of direct service experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) PLUS two (2) years of direct service experience working with emotionally disturbed adults.
Skills
- Willingness to work as direct care staff in the milieu when not actively transporting clients.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, staff, and the public.
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- How you will make a differen ce (job overview):
- When no transporting assignments are provided, acts as Mental Health Worker.
- Coordinates and schedules client transportation, as directed.
- Monitors clients during transportation.
- Conducts vehicle safety check before each use.
- Protects clients from behavior which could damage their self esteem and/or the facilities relationship with other agencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies.

Compensation
