About the role

  • Job Details The Assistant Director of Pharmacy provides operational leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical management for the hospital's pharmacy department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachleor of Science in Pharmacy from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
  • 3 years Minimal of 3 years of related hospital and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience, showcasing progressive clinical or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of contemporary hospital/ambulatory pharmacy practice and clinical therapeutics.
  • Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.

Compensation

  • $40k-$50k

  • Ensure adherence to FDA, DEA, Department of Health, State Board of Pharmacy, and Joint Commision standards.
  • Oversee the optimization and maintenance of pharmacy automation systems, electronic health record (EHR) workflows, and automated dispensing cabinets ADC's).
  • Collaborate with the Medical and Nursing Staff to optimize formulary management, implement medication safety protocols, and reduce medication errors through robust root cause analyes.
