About the role
- Job Details The Assistant Director of Pharmacy provides operational leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical management for the hospital's pharmacy department.
- This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of medications while maintaining compliance with all state, federal, and institutional regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Bachleor of Science in Pharmacy from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
- 3 years Minimal of 3 years of related hospital and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience, showcasing progressive clinical or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong foundational knowledge of contemporary hospital/ambulatory pharmacy practice and clinical therapeutics.
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.

Compensation
- $40k-$50k

- Ensure adherence to FDA, DEA, Department of Health, State Board of Pharmacy, and Joint Commision standards.
- Oversee the optimization and maintenance of pharmacy automation systems, electronic health record (EHR) workflows, and automated dispensing cabinets ADC's).
- Collaborate with the Medical and Nursing Staff to optimize formulary management, implement medication safety protocols, and reduce medication errors through robust root cause analyes.
