About the role
- This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team at the new WashU-owned and operated fluoroscopy suite in Sunset Hills.
- In this role, you will work side by side with world-class, academic PM&R physicians, gaining hands-on experience in advanced procedural techniques while ensuring accurate imaging, patient safety, and procedural efficiency.
- Assist PM&R physicians with real‑time imaging during complex MSK procedures, ensuring optimal visualization of bony and soft tissue structures.
Responsibilities
- Perform fluoroscopy/C‑arm imaging for spine and joint steroid injections, including epidural, facet, sacroiliac, and peripheral joint injections.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, sterile procedural trays, and C‑arm positioning for interventional MSK procedures.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to facilitate smooth procedural flow.
- Follow ALARA radiation safety principles and maintain proper sterile technique throughout MSK procedures.
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and upload fluoroscopic images to PACS/EHR.
- Support efficient patient throughput while maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
- strict adherence to safety and protective protocols is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with patient positioning, and operate/handle C‑arm equipment during procedures.
- Must be able to wear a lead vest for multiple hours throughout the day during fluoroscopy procedures.

- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience assisting with spine or joint injections, epidural procedures, facet or sacroiliac injections.
- Knowledge of procedural workflows in outpatient MSK or PM&R interventional suites.
- Advanced imaging skills specific to spine/joint positioning and fluoroscopic technique.
- Salary Range
Compensation
- $28.01 - $43.44 / Hourly
- The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
