About the role
- The Notifications squad is a multidisciplinary group of engineers working across client experiences, infrastructure, and machine learning to make sure every notification Discord sends is high signal and high value.
- This person will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Growth.
- Our salary ranges are determined by role and level.
Responsibilities
- Build the platform that enables all other teams in the company to send delightful notifications while delivering the maximum value to our users.
- Pair with Product and Design leads to find the right solutions that balance delight, speed of delivery and impact
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Elixir, or Typescript with eagerness to learn new languages and skills
- You are motivated to help your team members succeed, grow, and learn from each other through empathetic feedback
- You are a Discord user, and understand the core features and flow of Discord communications

Compensation
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 to $180,000 + equity + benefits.
