About the role
- The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in magnetics theory and measurement with practical experience in magnetic material research and/or sintered magnet manufacturing and process development.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of heavy-rare-earth minimization or free approaches.
- Support experimental projects that optimize process-structure-property relationships across powder preparation, alignment, compaction, sintering, grain growth, and annealing.
- Scale‑Up & Manufacturing Support
- Support manufacturing operations related to magnetic variability, yield loss, or performance degradation.
- Support intellectual property development and technical documentation.
Requirements
- 3+ years (or equivalent advanced degree experience) in permanent magnet development or magnetics engineering or magnetic materials research.
- Hands‑on experience with sintering and heat treatment process.
