About the role
- The DBA is a member of the IT Business Intelligence team and is responsible for directly supporting the daily administration of the SQL Server and Oracle databases used at our Client.
- § Research improvements to improve overall system performance.
Responsibilities
- He/she will manage and support our Client's Data environment.
- § Review, enhance and develop backup and recovery strategies depending on SLA requirements.
- § Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL using SQL Server (SSIS).
- § Design, maintain and ensure High Availability solutions including replication, clustering etc.
- § Design, implement and document Disaster Recovery strategies for critical business servers.
- § Communicate and coordinate with other IT teams to successfully resolve support and maintenance issues.
Requirements
- § 6 years of experience developing, maintaining and administering MS SQL Server databases.
- § Experience configuring SQL Server replication required.
- 1) 6 year experience as SQL Server DBA
Nice to have
- For our premier client
- Need for SQL Server DBA with experience in SQL Server Data Warehouse.
- Oracle skill is a definite plus.
- § Experience with IBM CDC preferred
- § Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products preferred.
- § ETL development experience with complicated SSIS Package coding and maintenance a plus
- § Experience with Data Modeling Tools as well as creating and maintaining data models preferred.
- § Experience working with IBM InfoSphere Products (DataStage, QualityStage, Metedata Workbench, etc.) preferred.
