About the role
- Sustainable Comfort, Inc. (SCI) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team.
- In this role, you'll help improve the performance of multifamily and commercial buildings throughout the Northeast by ensuring mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems operate as intended.
- Whether you're performing functional testing, troubleshooting HVAC systems, or supporting measurement and verification (M&V) efforts, your work will directly contribute to better-performing buildings and more sustainable communities.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside experienced building science professionals, you'll collaborate with developers, architects, contractors, and owners on projects that advance energy efficiency, electrification, and high-performance building design.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning, HVAC design, mechanical consulting, building systems, controls, or related engineering work.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, and overall building system operation.
Nice to have
- Mechanical Engineering background strongly preferred.
Skills
- Identify, document, and help resolve system deficiencies.
- Review technical work for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Assist with proposal development and technical responses for new projects.
Compensation
- $73k-$110k
