About the role

Responsibilities

  • To support these schools, we will employ approximately almost 300 full-time staff members.
  • This teacher focuses on supporting students as an extra layer of support beyond their core ELA instruction.
  • The reading lab instructor will run their own classroom of students as part of the specials block of the school day.
  • Depending on the specials area subject, the teacher may travel to classrooms or have students transition to their own classroom space.
  • To support teacher practice and their growth, all lead teachers receive individualized coaching and professional development.

Nice to have

  • Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress)
  • Two or more years of elementary or middle school ELA teaching experience OR small group experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
