About the role
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating welding activities, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, flux core, sub arc and/or carbon arc welding on metal components and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including setting up machines, changing electrodes, and ensuring proper functioning.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- conduct tests to ensure welds meet required standards.
- 0-3 years of oil and gas industry
- Working knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to endure prolonged periods of standing, as well as the ability to work in various positions such as kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, squatting or lying down to access different parts of the project.
