About the role

  • We're hiring a Staff Product Designer to join the Fieldguide team.
  • We move incredibly fast at Fieldguide, and we're looking for designers who can operate at that cadence.
  • This team ships frequently, iterates in tight loops, and makes progress amid ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design for complex, ambiguous audit workflows, from problem definition through shipped solutions
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape strategy, influence roadmaps, and deliver high-quality, scalable implementations
  • Drive design execution with minimal direction, operating effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Own a significant product area or customer journey, anticipating downstream impacts across workflows and personas
  • Set a high bar for craft and influence by contributing to the design system, mentoring peers, and serving as a trusted design voice.
  • Experience shaping how AI-assisted workflows get designed at a systemic level, not just within a single flow

Requirements

  • You can hold a long-term point of view while still shipping incrementally
  • Experience designing for audit, accounting, compliance, or other regulated domains
  • Experience coaching or managing designers, formally or informally
