About the role
- In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 15 associates across multiple laboratory support functions.
- Manage relationships and performance of third-party vendors supporting dry ice, garments, and gas services.
- Maintain accountability for site performance, KPIs, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- Manage site-level operational and financial performance, including labor productivity and resource planning.
- Serve as the primary management contact for laboratory support operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be available to respond to occasional after-hours calls related to gas manifold alarms and liquid nitrogen cylinder exchanges.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with SAP, vendor management systems, or similar data management platforms.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility is strongly desired

- Oversee daily operations for:
- Glasswash and autoclave services
- Bioreactor assembly
- Pipette management and calibration programs
Compensation
- $70,000-$75,000 annual base salary, with eligibility for up to a 5% annual bonus.
