  • The Accountant position is responsible for analyzing, recording, and reporting financial data to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information for Business Units and area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Review revenue, expense, and payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance; create accounting records and maintain accurate and timely financial data.
  • Perform monthly close activities and prepare financial statements and other management reports.
  • Maintain and improve internal control processes to ensure financial accuracy and risk mitigation.
  • Provide support to AP, AR, Payroll, and Operation teams to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.
  • This role is responsible for the preparation of financial and summary reports, providing accounting support to facilitate the delivery of professional services and financial solutions.
  • It also proactively analyzes the accounting implications of potential business decisions and collaborates closely with business partners

  • Education and Required Experience

Nice to have

  • Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Canada is preferred for positions in Canada.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial processes.

Skills

  • Proficient in basic financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Excel, Microsoft Office and data entry tools,
  • Able to perform routine reconciliations and transaction processing,
  • Data analysis skills required to identify trends, variations, and outliers,
  • Ability to communicate and influence, both written and verbally.

Compensation

  • In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $80,000-$90,000 CAD per year.
