About the role
- Substitute Teachers play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of daily school operations.
- Substitute schedules can vary, but a typical start time for a full-day placement begins at 8:00am and ends at 3:30pm.
- Typical start time for an Extended Day placement begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Placements include lead grade-level teaching roles, lead specialist teaching roles, instructional support roles, or Extended Day program teaching roles.
Requirements
- Certified teacher includes formal training including student teaching experience, passing required exams and granted a teaching license by the state.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United Sates and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

- Due to the part-time and/or ad hoc nature of the substitute teacher role, this is not a benefits-eligible position.
- Final offer will be contingent on the successful completion of a background, education, and employment check.
