About the role
- The Site Controller, as a member of the plant management team, provides guidance in setting strategic direction and designing business plans to achieve the long-term mission of the plant.
- The Site Controller is responsible for financial leadership in a plant.
- The position's functional responsibility influences Manufacturing, QA, Engineering and Supply Chain through budget decisions, financial training, financial recommendations, and general business guidance
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, consolidate and generally manage the development of plans for the plant including standards, LBE's and capital budgets
- Facilitate unit cost savings and overall cost reduction forums for the site to drive gross margin improvement and monitor progress against commitments
- Drive automation, standardization, and simplification of finance processes in alignment with corporate initiatives
- Partner with shared services, IT, and global finance teams to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency
- Support system implementations or upgrades in regulated manufacturing environments
- Lead, develop, and mentor site finance team members
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships across operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering
- Working in conjunction with Plant and Operations management, develop and implement financial and operational measurement tools focusing on productivity and customer service improvements
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and influence senior leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
- 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including manufacturing finance
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant‑level financial analysis
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced financial analysis tools
