Responsibilities
- Lead complex troubleshooting and set technical standards for the team
- Operate, maintain, and repair multi-robotic welding systems, pneumatics, electrical/mechanical components, and automation equipment (local and customer sites)
- Perform preventive maintenance, validate repairs, and track cell performance and part fit-up
- maintain deep process expertise
- manage parts and assembly inventory
- Build and deliver technician onboarding and a repeatable ramp program
- Operate Forge cells via command prompts and code changes; maintain deep process expertise
- Analyze data with a root-cause focus to reduce repeat failures; manage parts and assembly inventory
- Identify skill gaps, build development plans, and review progress monthly
- Partner with operations on scheduling; improve troubleshooting consistency through playbooks and mentorship
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in manufacturing or industrial automation.
- Technical training, trade school certification, Associate degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop processes
- welding experience is a strong plus (certifications not required).
- Fluent in English
- Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
