  • Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Underwriting Technician on our Excess Casualty team.
  • We provide a consistent underwriting approach and efficient turnaround times and are supported by an experienced claims team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain file integrity by ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed in ImageRight, while supporting file audits through ongoing file reviews and QA/QC processes.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of Insurance Industry experience as a technical/underwriting assistant with similar duties is preferred.
  • Comfortable challenging norms while collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products, Nitro Pro, Image Right and Adobe Acrobat.

Compensation

  • $55,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.

  • The total compensation opportunity for all regular, full-time employees is a combination of base salary and incentives that get adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.
