About the role

  • This role is within HVAC team at the Taylor, TX Facility.
  • Reviews and analyzes process and equipment data to ensure they are running within specifications and sufficient capacity is available to meet operating demand.

Responsibilities

  • The Engineer will work to tackle our most complex problems, initiate improvement projects, review designs, and manage projects while overseeing day to day activities including Breakdown Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for improving quality and reliability in support of a semiconductor wafer fab.
  • Facilities HVAC systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption.
  • Provides oversight and communication to support the needs of operations, instrumentation, maintenance, and external resources to ensure operational sustainability of facilities and equipment.
  • Support the development and improvement of operations and maintenance procedures/programs to ensure use of best practices.
  • Implement processes & procedures to improve and standardize work across the team & site.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Possess excellent time management and priority setting skills while having the ability to effectively advance multiple activities simultaneously and enable on-time project delivery.
  • Must be able to coordinate and communicate technical information to and from all levels of the organization.
  • Applicants must be authorized to access such information or eligible for government authorization.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer's license a plus.

Skills

  • Successfully interfaces with internal customer organizations to sustain uninterrupted operations.
  • Improves equipment reliability through FMEA, root cause analysis, and 8D problem solving.
  • Incorporates best practices into site specifications, standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Forecasts costs and expenditures for operation and maintenance assigned systems.
  • Cultivating, sustaining and managing system to ensure site safety, quality of operation, and environmental stewardship.
  • Provide industry contributions through conferences and other professional organizations.

Compensation

  • The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000.
