About the role
- Mobius is seeking a Missile Defense System Senior Systems Engineer.
- These actions help MDA decision makers assess architecture alternatives and make investment decisions.
- This full-time salaried position is located on Fort Belvoir, VA.
Requirements
- Ability to present complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels
- Able to work independently on some tasks and lead teams to analyze and resolve problems on other tasks
- Able to plan and execute projects involving prime contractors, other MDA offices, and FFRDC/UARC partners
- Able to support the evaluation of future architecture elements and technology enablers that support ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missile defense
- Ability to rapidly build, modify, or adapt M&S tools to answer novel questions, such as those relating to:
Nice to have
- Source new technical concepts from industry, academia, national labs, and other organizations to interpret their application to the missile defense mission.
- Produce and present technical and executive-level briefings, whitepapers, and reports to communicate concepts and value assessments to stakeholders.
- Minimum of 12 years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD/DoW or IC programs/projects
- Knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, and concepts, with demonstrated understanding through analysis activities
- MDS modeling and simulation experience is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Familiarity and experience with MDA and/or other complex MDS Elements
- Experience with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) processes or related activities where cost, performance, and/or risk trade-offs were made to support engineering decisions
Skills
- Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and interceptor modeling
- Object tracking algorithm implementation or modeling
- Master's degree in a STEM-related field
- Active Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility
