In this role, you will work directly at the bedside and in the kitchen to ensure Veterans receive medically appropriate, preference-driven meals every day.

Manage patient diet orders, meal tickets, and food preferences using Computrition and Vista software, ensuring every tray reflects the current therapeutic diet order
Conduct bedside and in-person meal ordering, collecting patient preferences, eating habits, and allergy information to support Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs)
Perform tray accuracy checks during meal service and complete test trays including temperature and taste testing
Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary team including RDNs, nursing staff, and Nutrition and Food Service personnel to coordinate seamless patient care

Prior experience working in a VA or other federal healthcare facility nutrition and food service department
Demonstrated knowledge of International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) frameworks and/or Medical Nutrition Therapy applications
Background working with diverse patient populations, including older adults or Veterans with complex medical nutrition needs
