About the role

- Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Datastore team.
Responsibilities
- You work directly with external partners and customers to understand their data needs, analytical workflows, and technical constraints, and translate those into concrete solutions built on Beacon's Datastore
- You lead technical conversations with partner engineers and data teams, supporting API integrations, successful adoption of data access patterns and practices, and downstream analytics
- You collaborate with the rest of the Datastore team to develop internal tools, queries, and workflows that improve observability, troubleshooting, and resolution of client data issues
- You leverage feedback from partners and internal stakeholders to improve documentation, APIs, data models, and operational processes
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, delivering solutions directly to external partners or clients
- Experience working directly with customers or external stakeholders to solve data-related problems, including requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting data platform solutions (hands' on coding is required for this position)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience designing and maintaining analytical or operational data models
- Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language such as Python, Julia, or R
- Experience with modern analytics and BI tools such as Snowflake, Superset, Looker, or similar platforms
Compensation
- The salary range for this role is $150,000 - 170,000.
