About the role

Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
  • These programs include: national voter registration and re-registration programs, the DNC National Voter Assistance Hotline, volunteer recruitment and engagement, state-level program support and development, and training.

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with national, state, and local organizational stakeholders engaged in electoral strategies and programs.
  • Proficiency and comfort with LBJ, VAN/Votebuilder, and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

  • Prior regional, deputy, state, or national voter protection staff experience or at least 2 years of experience working on voter protection or related electoral issues
  • experience interpreting laws, policies, and procedures is a plus.

Skills

  • Extraordinary attention to detail as well as project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Project management certifications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving acumen, with demonstrated ability to identify issues quickly, analyze problems, and determine effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and situations to fit short and long-term organizational needs.

Compensation

  • The starting salary for the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Manager position is $75,000.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
  • This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
  • Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role.
